THE ROAD FROM AI TO SUPER INTELLIGENCE

THE ROAD WE DOCUMENT

Everything we publish tracks one arc: how today's narrow AI tools are climbing toward human-level intelligence — and possibly beyond.

AI
TODAY

Narrow tools — chatbots, image generators, coding assistants. Powerful, but each does one thing.

AGI
NOT HERE YET

Human-level general intelligence that learns and reasons across any domain. Researchers expect machines to eventually rival humans, with little consensus on when.

ASI
THE DESTINATION

A hypothetical superintelligence greatly exceeding human cognitive performance in virtually all domains. No ASI system exists yet — the race to build it is the biggest story of our lifetime.

TOP AI TOOLS

54 real tools with real websites — directory links were verified through 2026-10-04. Prices change often, so treat them as rough guides and always check the official site.

No tools match your search. Try another keyword.

Pricing disclaimer: all prices are rough guides from October 2026 and can change without notice — always confirm on the official site before paying. Free tiers and commercial-use terms vary by tool.

ZERO TO AI CREATOR

You don't need money, followers, or experience to start. You need one free chatbot account and one hour a day. This guide takes you from "never used AI" to "publishing content and building things" in five modules — do them in order, each one builds on the last.

MODULE 1

TALK TO AI

BEGINNER DAYS 1–3

GOALBe comfortable asking AI for anything.

  1. Create a free account at ChatGPT (chatgpt.com) or Claude (claude.ai). Pick one and stick with it for a week.
  2. Ask it 10 questions about things you genuinely want to know — not test questions, real ones. Notice how better questions get better answers.
  3. Practice the golden rule: give context + give a role + say what you want. Compare "write about AI" vs "You are a social media coach. Write 5 Instagram hooks about AI for beginners, each under 10 words." The second one wins every time.
  4. Try Perplexity (perplexity.ai) for anything factual — it shows its sources, so you can check claims instead of trusting blindly. (We verify every claim we publish against real sources. You should too.)

END-OF-MODULE CHECK: you can get a useful answer to any everyday question in under 2 minutes.

Tools used: ChatGPT or Claude, Perplexity.

MODULE 2

MAKE THINGS

BEGINNER DAYS 4–10

GOALProduce your first AI-made visuals and audio.

  1. Images: open Leonardo's (leonardo.ai) free tier. Generate 10 images of anything. Learn what "prompt" means: the text description is your paintbrush. Try the same prompt with different style words (cinematic, minimalist, 3D render) and watch the results change.
  2. Text in images: try Ideogram (ideogram.ai) — type a short poster headline and see it rendered correctly. This is the tool for thumbnails and quote cards.
  3. Voice: paste one paragraph of text into ElevenLabs' (elevenlabs.io) free tier. Listen. Try 3 different voices. You've just made a voiceover without a microphone.
  4. Music: describe a mood in Suno (suno.com) — "upbeat lo-fi track for a tech intro" — and get a full song. Remember: free-tier tracks aren't licensed for commercial use.
  5. Cleanup: record yourself on your phone in a noisy room, upload it to Adobe Podcast Enhance (podcast.adobe.com), and hear the difference.

END-OF-MODULE CHECK: you have one AI image, one AI voiceover, and one AI music track saved on your device.

Tools used: Leonardo, Ideogram, ElevenLabs, Suno, Adobe Podcast Enhance.

MODULE 3

LEARN PROMPTING

BEGINNER DAYS 11–17

GOALStop getting random outputs and start getting what you actually want.

  1. Understand the formula: Role + Context + Task + Format + Constraints. Example: "You are a YouTube scriptwriter (role). My channel explains AI to beginners (context). Write a 60-second script about AI agents (task). Hook in the first 3 seconds, simple words (format + constraints)."
  2. Practice iteration: never accept the first output. Follow up with "shorter", "simpler", "give me 3 versions", "now make it funnier". The back-and-forth is where quality comes from.
  3. Work through all 30+ prompts in the Free Prompt Library below — they're copy-paste templates. Customize the bracketed parts and save your best results.
  4. Learn negative prompts for image/video tools: telling the AI what to avoid ("no blurry faces, no extra fingers") is as powerful as telling it what to include.

END-OF-MODULE CHECK: you can write a prompt that gets a usable first draft 8 times out of 10.

Tools used: any chatbot + the Free Prompt Library.

MODULE 4

BUILD YOUR CHANNEL

BEGINNER DAYS 18–30

GOALA repeatable content workflow and your first published posts.

  1. Pick ONE platform to start (Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts). One. Master it before expanding.
  2. Set up your weekly workflow: Monday — pick 3 topics (use Perplexity to research what's actually happening); Tuesday — write scripts with your chatbot; Wednesday — generate visuals (Leonardo/Ideogram) and voiceover (ElevenLabs); Thursday — assemble in Canva (canva.com) or CapCut; Friday — post and reply to every comment.
  3. Design in Canva's free tier: one reusable template for carousels, one for thumbnails. Consistency beats creativity at the start.
  4. Schedule posts with Hootsuite (hootsuite.com) or Buffer so you can batch-create on weekends.
  5. Set up ManyChat's (manychat.com) keyword auto-replies later (e.g. "comment ASI and get the breakdown") — this is how small accounts grow fast through DMs.
  6. Track what works: after 10 posts, look at which 2 got the most saves/shares and make more like those. Delete nothing; data beats guessing.

END-OF-MODULE CHECK: 10+ posts published, one reusable design template, one weekly workflow you actually follow.

Tools used: Canva, Hootsuite, ManyChat, everything from Modules 1–3.

MODULE 5

GO DEEPER

BEGINNER MONTH 2+

GOALTurn attention into assets — apps, tools, and income streams.

  1. Your first app: describe a simple tool you'd use yourself in Lovable (lovable.dev) or Bolt.new (bolt.new). A calculator, a tracker, a quiz — small is fine. Ship it. A live link beats a perfect plan.
  2. Your first landing page: use v0 (v0.dev) to generate a waitlist page for your app or newsletter.
  3. Learn real building blocks: when the no-code tools limit you, open Cursor (cursor.com) and let it teach you code as you build. You don't need a computer-science degree — you need curiosity and the AI as your tutor.
  4. Organize the business: put contacts and leads in HubSpot's free CRM (hubspot.com). Summarize meetings with Otter.ai (otter.ai). Write better with Grammarly (grammarly.com).
  5. Keep learning in public: document what you build. "Day 23 of building my first app with AI" is content AND accountability.

END-OF-MODULE CHECK: one live app or landing page with a real URL you can share.

Tools used: Lovable/Bolt.new, v0, Cursor, HubSpot, Otter.ai, Grammarly.

The honest fine print: AI tools don't replace skill — they multiply it. The creators who win are the ones who verify facts, credit sources, respect copyright, and show up daily. Everything else is just software.

FREE PROMPT LIBRARY

Copy any prompt, replace the [bracketed] parts with your own details, and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. For image prompts, paste into the image tool; for video prompts, into the video tool.

STEP 1Start with prompt 1.1 — a month of ideas removes the #1 beginner excuse.
STEP 2Pair scripting prompts (2.x) with image/video prompts (4.x/5.x) — script first, then generate the visuals the script calls for.
STEP 3Save your winners — when a prompt gives a great result, save the exact wording. Your personal prompt library becomes your unfair advantage.
STEP 4Verify before publishing — chatbots sometimes invent facts. Check names, numbers, and dates against a real source before anything goes public.
